What the Rush Tracker desktop app collects, why, and what it never touches.

Effective date: September 27, 2026 · Last updated: September 27, 2026

01 / Who we are and how this fits

Rush Tracker is the match-verification companion for the Rush app, published by Rush Live, Inc. ("Rush Live", "we", "us") and distributed through Overwolf. It is the Companion described in the Rush Privacy Policy at join-rush.com/privacy. This notice explains what the desktop app itself collects and why. How long data is kept, your rights, how to make a request, and the service providers Rush uses are set out in the Rush Privacy Policy, and apply to data from Rush Tracker too.

Data collection and processing while you use Rush Tracker is governed by this notice and the Rush Privacy Policy, which are between you and Rush Live, Inc., not Overwolf.

02 / Linking your PC

Rush Tracker has no username, password, Twitch sign-in or Steam sign-in. The only way to link your PC is a device-code pairing: the app shows a short code, you enter it in the Rush app (Settings → Pair Companion), and our server then issues a per-install signing key to your PC. Nothing is sent while your PC is not linked.

03 / What the app collects

Once your PC is linked and you play a supported game, the app receives match events from Overwolf's Game Events Provider running locally on your PC and sends signed HTTPS requests to Rush. Each request carries the app version and build id and is signed with your per-install key. About you, it collects:

  • A per-install pairing identity (a key id) that signs the events your PC sends, so nobody can forge match results in your name; it ties those events to the Rush account you paired with.
  • Game launch and game exit events for the supported games.
  • Match start and match end events, with match metadata: game, match or session id, start and end times, map, game mode and the match server identifier.
  • Your own in-match stats: result, score, kills, deaths, assists, goals, saves, placement, win or loss and similar scoreboard stats (these vary by game).
  • A presence heartbeat about every 30 seconds while the app is running, your PC is linked and posting is not paused, including when no game is running (it then carries no game).
  • The app version and build id on every request. A detailed diagnostic log is never uploaded (see Diagnostics).

If a match result cannot be sent (for example, you are offline), the app saves it on your PC and retries later.

About the other players in your matches

The app collects only limited scoreboard-level facts, the same kind of information shown on a post-match scoreboard, and what it collects depends on the game:

  • Rocket League: for the other players in the lobby, including public matchmaking lobbies with strangers, each player's platform account id, display name, platform and team.
  • Fortnite: only in Creative head-to-head matches between paired players, the participants' names, their team and their presence timing in the match, plus how many times your opponent eliminated you. Fortnite Battle Royale sends nothing about other players.
  • Rainbow Six Siege: nothing about other players.

This is collected for one purpose only: verifying that a match really happened as reported, including matching two players' accounts of the same match. It is never used to build profiles or statistics about other players, including people who do not use Rush Tracker.

04 / What the app never collects

  • In-match positional, aiming or network data.
  • Any other player's point of view: what they saw, where they aimed or where they moved.
  • Anything that could be used for spectator advantage or to get around anti-cheat.
  • Chat, voice, or anything outside the match summary.
  • A password, email address or payment details. Rush Tracker has no sign-in; linking uses a one-time pairing code.

05 / Files stored on your PC

In the app's own browser storage: your pairing key id, the per-install secret, the linked name, your settings and your last 200 matches.

Outside the app's own folder, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\gamingpython\ (the folder keeps the app's original development name so existing installs stay linked):

  • install-credential.json: the per-install pairing secret, stored in plain text on your own PC.
  • pending-match-end.json: match results Rush has not yet acknowledged, kept so they can be retried.
  • diagnostic-autosave.json: the diagnostics autosave file.

These three files are deliberately not removed when you uninstall Rush Tracker, so that reinstalling restores your pairing. To remove them, uninstall the app and then delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\gamingpython folder by hand.

06 / Diagnostics

Diagnostics are off by default. A diagnostic export only happens when you ask for it: you can copy it to the clipboard or save it to your Downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded, and other players' names are replaced by tokens in an export.

07 / How the data is used

Your match data is used to verify match outcomes so that contests on Rush can be settled, to compute your aggregate performance statistics (which power eligibility checks and fair pricing on Rush), and for platform integrity: detecting forged, manipulated or misreported matches. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDK and shows no ads.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

08 / Who receives it

  • Overwolf: we do not share your email address, single-sign-on information or advertising data with Overwolf; Rush Tracker collects none of them. Overwolf provides the game-events integration on your PC and does not receive what the app sends to Rush. Overwolf's own privacy policy governs what the Overwolf platform itself collects.
  • Rush Live, Inc. and its service providers: the app sends data only to Rush's backend, hosted in the United States by Supabase (database and API), encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. The service providers Rush uses are listed in the Rush Privacy Policy.

09 / Keeping, accessing and deleting your data

How long data is kept, your rights (such as access and deletion), and how to make a request are set out in the Rush Privacy Policy at join-rush.com/privacy. To make a request about data from Rush Tracker, email rushliveteam@gmail.com. In the app itself you can also:

  • Pause: turn on Pause event posting in Settings. Nothing is sent while it is on, and a match played while paused is dropped, not stored.
  • Unlink: unlink your PC from your Rush account at any time in Settings.
  • Uninstall: removing Rush Tracker stops it running and sending anything. To delete the files it keeps for re-pairing, remove the %LOCALAPPDATA%\gamingpython folder by hand (see Files stored on your PC).

10 / Compliance with game publishers

Rush Tracker does not use the Riot Games API, the Valve Steamworks API, the Epic Online Services API or any other first-party game publisher API. All match data comes from Overwolf's officially supported Game Events Provider for each title. Processing is limited to the match events and summaries described above, and never exposes information that could be used during a live match to affect competitive integrity.

11 / Changes to this notice

If we materially change this notice, we will update the dates at the top and, where reasonable, tell active users in the Rush Tracker window before the change takes effect.
